  • We will test the ability of the isolated Escherichia coli to form biofilms in vitro, using Congo red-alecian blue combined staining and semi-quantitative adhesion experiments to compare whether there was a statistical difference in the positive detection rate.
  • Some of them were randomly selected, and the CLSM observation results were used as the true positive standard to detect the sensitivity and specificity of the semi-quantitative adhesion test by Congo red-alician blue combined staining.
  • By using CLSM, we can not only observe the morphological structure of the biofilm, but also perform tomography on the specimen, and then obtain the three-dimensional structure of the specimen through three-dimensional reconstruction to show the internal structure of the biofilm, and can combine the three-dimensional image data with image processing software such as ISA software. It also reduces the damage to the biofilm structure caused by the cumbersome production process of the scanning electron microscope.
