The activity of microorganisms was expressed by the amount of triphenyltetrazolium chloride (the reduction product TTC-formazan (TF). Our service consists of the following three steps:

Biofilm Activity Testing Approaches We Offer

• Preparation of Biofilm Samples
  Take the carrier biofilm, rinse it with distilled water and place it in a conical flask, shake vigorously with glass beads to break the biofilm, dilute with normal saline, and stir with a glass rod to make a suspension for later use.
• Preparation of Standard Curve
  We use UV spectrophotometer to measure the corresponding absorbance (A) value, plot the dehydrogenase activity, and draw a standard curve with the reagent blank as a control.
• Biofilm Dehydrogenase Activity Assay
  Take the biofilm preparation solution, add Tris-HCl buffer, glucose solution, and TTC in turn, put it into an incubator for incubation, take it out, add concentrated sulfuric acid to stop the reaction, accurately add 5 mL of toluene, shake, centrifuge, and take the organic solvent layer for colorimetry . Under the above conditions, the amount of 1μg TF produced in 1h was regarded as 1 unit of enzyme activity.
